I know, I know! I think I can hear a collective groan at the thought of Valentines, and a handful of gleeful creatives and die hard romantics revving their glue guns. Oh yes and over there a pocket of dismayed mumbles - yes, it's February already can you see the florists gearing up?
Anyway, my mother-in-law found herself in hospital last week. She's still there under a litany of tests, medicated drips and needles. Her devoted hubby has a fold up bed next to her, where he stays on hand to advocate for her and provide support. What more could you ask in a Valentine? Still there won't be much chance for them to shop gifts and cards this year so the family are volunteering to curate and buy a selection.
We've turned it into a playful competition, since it will be so fun to guess who chose what! This kind of game also allows us all to focus on the good things.
