One little word 2015

I stumbled on Ali Edwards  - One little word just in time to join her online scrapbooking class for 2012.  That year my word was Tribe, I wanted to focus on my carefully curated friendships that year as I left a corporate tribe of 7 years.  I loved the projects, I adapted them to suit my style and continue to be inspired by the prompts every year.

In 2013 I chose the word Delight, a chance to savour all the chances I had to explore and play and make and be thrilled by all the little things.   Last year my word was Quest, a word I wasn't that comfortable with for most of the year but chose it to have an emphasis on pushing myself past my comfort zones, while having a sense of adventure about it rather than duty.   By the end of the year it felt very right, and my quest to start a business began to take shape.  I also stumbled on a White Hart in a Forest in Wales, it was utterly magical,  and turns out to be symbolic for beginning a quest.

For 2015 having planted and thrown some seeds into the wind, I've chosen the word Bloom.   I'd love to see it all begin flowering this year, and like any wildflower garden I'm excited to see what flowers come through which I may or may not have actually planted!  I'd like to see my clients flourish, as well as creative projects, and the relationships I've formed over the years.

You know, confession time.   I started writing this post in January and now I have come back to it to reflect on my word.     Many of us burst with promise and aspiration in January, and now is the time to review and adjust.  To celebrate and maybe cut ourself some slack.  As Spring begins to bloom, it really works for my word, how about you?  So let's check in with our intentions and see if they still fit for us,  consider what adjustments we need to make to stay with it or not.  If you have a word this year or something more goal orientated, how is it going?   What's your energy level for it?  If it's still good, high five, you are rocking it!  If it's started to fall off your radar, you're not alone!    Is it still the right goal or word?  If not what is?  Check in with Susannah Conway's brilliant and free Find my word email course, I think you can still join in especially on the Facebook group where ideas and support is shared freely.
If it is still the right word or intention, what's one little thing you can do to dance with it this week or month?  Be it creative or task focussed or challenging (a 7 day challenge?).  Personally I will do both  I will take a photo this month which captures life in bloom, and I will connect with at least three people a week in March (seeds) in the service of them and my business, and see what blooms.  OK, good luck, lets check in a gain when Summer is on the horizon.
